Cosplay Emergency Kit

In my previous post I recommended bringing along a Cosplay Emergency Kit to your next convention, but what I failed to mention was what exactly does a Cosplay Emergency Kit contain?

A Cosplay Emergency Kit is basically your life raft should anything go not-so according to plan during your convention, whether it be an issue with your cosplay, your technology or any other issue. It can contain whatever you think is necessary,

COSPLAY ISSUES

1) Bobby pins and/or wig adhesive

Just to keep my wig in its rightful place, and also to share should a friend or stranger's wig decides to go awry

2) Glue and/or a sewing kit

For when your outfit pops a seam or an embellishment falls off.

*Check with your Convention whether you can bring scissors with you, if you can't then I'd improvise

3) Makeup for touch-ups

So powder, concealer, mascara, eyeliner, and any other products of your choice

TECHNOLOGY ISSUES

4) Chargers for all of your tech (Phone, Camera, etc.)

ESPECIALLY YOUR PHONE! Should, God forbid, something happen to you or someone around you and you need to reach someone quickly. Also for selfies, because those are important too.

OTHER ISSUES

5) Carry important things on a lanyard (Identification, cash, important information, etc.)

I keep a lanyard around my neck to keep my important items close to me at all times, because let's face it, some people are kinda slimy and try to benefit of others. So I'll usually keep my cash, identification, emergency contacts, and so on in a small plastic pocket attached to it. It's also a great way to showcase your favorite pins.

6) Banda Aids and other such minor medical things are also a great thing to pack, because whether you yourself are accident prone or you have a friend who is, they will come in handy.

7) Snacks are always a good idea. Not only do they save you money but you can also share with others.

It's your Kit, so you can add whatever you need and make it custom just for you.
